KCER: Kidney Community Emergency Response Coalition
http://www.kcercoalition.com/
The KCER Coalition provides free education and tools for the kidney dialysis and transplant community for disaster preparedness. End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) facilities and patients should follow guidance from their local ESRD Network, and general precautions issued from the CDC and local government agencies.
The CMS Conditions for Coverage require that all facilities have a plan in place for emergencies including pandemic influenza.
An Emergency Hotline is available for dialysis units to contact in the event of a disaster or emergency. The number is 888-335-4363 (888-33KIDNEY).
